Oldsmar, Florida. Michael Pinson, founder of the Pinson Foundation, the charitable arm of Pinson Communications, announced today that a $2,000 grant was issued to Eckerd College Fund Program.

“We are very happy that we could help support the Eckerd Scholarships Fund. Since the Pinson Foundation was organized in 2006, one of our goals has been to try to find ways to help working parents, low income kids, and others in need of assistance with college costs. Prior to 2011, many of the schools the Pinson Foundation considered donating funds to could not promise the that such funds would be used primarily for non-related college costs by students. Therefore, we are thrilled that Eckerd has a detailed process to help ensure that such scholarship donations are being used for books and tuition”, said Michael Pinson.

“Eckerd would like to thank the Pinson Foundation for their generous gift to the children and families we serve.  Eckerd strives to provide support to students with the desire to pursue higher education and or vocational training.  The Pinson Foundation’s gift assists Eckerd in providing the needed financial resources supporting our efforts in providing second chances to children and families.”

A person does not reach the full circle of personal success until they consistently give their time and/or money to help those in need in their local community. The economy has been very tough since about 2008, and we thank our Foundation supporters and our customers at Pinson Communications who have made this possible, said Michael Pinson.

The Pinson Foundation is a small nonprofit charitable 501(c)3 organization that was founded in 2006. It is the charitable arm of Pinson Communications, Inc. The Foundation has no employees, pays no rent for office space, and is managed solely by volunteers. The Foundation helps primarily support local charitable causes. However, in January 2010, after the devastating earthquake in Haiti, the Pinson Foundation reached outside the United States when it funded and led an eleven person surgical team to the country. Furthermore, the Foundation team returned to Haiti in May 2010 to help re-supply local orphanages and clinics in need. The Pinson Foundation is directly supported by the local community, Pinson Communications, and Michael Pinson.
